I would like to review the course “Android Development for Beginners | Udacity”. It is built by Google and offered by Kunal Chawla, Katherine Kuan and Lyla Fujiwara. It is a 4 week course (6hrs per week/ work at your own pace) and is extremely informative.
I had completed the Free version which includes the Instructor videos, Learn by doing exercises and viewing project instructions. The paid enrolled version also includes Projects with reviews, Getting help from Coaches and a Verified Certificate.
The course blends theory and practice to help you build android apps the right way. It is a great introductory course to Android App Development. If you are already familiar with Java or any other Programming Language then, it’s a plus point. But even if you don’t, there’s no need to be disheartened as this course is tailor-made for people who are completely new to programming.
- System Requirements
- A learning attitude
- Access to an Android Device (not necessary)
The course covers Building layouts using XML markup language, Making the app interactive using Java and working with the Android Framework and Control Flow. It includes 2 practice sets which reciprocate the lecture content, tests understanding of the material and requires some creativity and ingenuity.
I would highly recommend this course to all Android enthusiasts.
